Who are you guys?
Thanks for asking.
We’re the Student Life Network, a division of Square Crop Studios Inc. The Student Life Network is North America’s fastest-growing provider of awesome contests and exclusive experiences for Canadian college, university, and high school students. And we love doing it. Founded in 2009, Student Life Network works with trusted brands to give back to students. Over the years, we have created a large but tight-knit community of like-minded students that feels more like some kind of wacky extended family.
So, what’s this contest all about?
Our dream is to make student life better, and it’s a recurring dream. CLS5 is the fifth installment of Canada’s Luckiest Student (obviously). Previous rounds have made some pretty spectacular dreams come true, and we can’t wait to do it again. We want to make one student’s life a whole lot better by giving away the biggest prize package in Canadian student history. It starts with $20,000 cash courtesy of CIBC (to help you with school) and it only gets better from there. Throughout the year, we’ll keep adding new prizes until you just can’t take it anymore.
Is this a scholarship? What are the requirements?
It’s money for school, but it’s also a lot more. It’s a boatload of prizes that will make pursuing your education infinitely more enjoyable. The best part is there is no requirement otherwise than being a Canadian student over the age of 16. You don’t have to be an academic all-star. You don’t have to be good at sports. You don’t even have to like school. You just have to enter. And play along.
Can I really win everything?
You really can.
One student will win everything—the whole kit and kaboodle. But only if you’ve opted in to all the prizes. Don’t worry, we’ll tell you every time we add a prize, so you won’t be left out. (But do make sure you check your email and our socials to stay in the loop).
How can I improve my chances of winning?
When you enter Canada’s Luckiest Student, you get one entry in the contest, but there are many ways to earn extra entries. The more entries you have, the greater the odds that your name will be drawn. Extra entries can be earned for simple actions like following Student Life Network on Twitter, liking one of our sponsors on Facebook, watching a video, or taking a quick survey. The more actions you check off, the more extra entries you receive and the better chance you have of winning Canada’s Luckiest Student. To find out how to earn extra entries, visit the extra entries tab on your dashboard. We’ll be unveiling new extra entry opportunities throughout the contest, so keep coming back to improve your chances of winning.
When does the contest end?
The contest ends on Jan 5th, 2017. But the prize will keep getting bigger and better until then, so check back often for new opt-ins and Extra Entry opportunities. (See contest rules for details).
How will you choose the winner?
Well, we thought about hosting a massive last-man-standing paintball fight, but our lawyers didn’t like that idea. Like, at all. So the winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. Increasing your entries using the Extra Entries tab on the contest dashboard increases your chances to win. It’s that simple. (See contest rules for details). It's that simple!
I signed up, but I’m not getting any emails! What should I do?
Yikes! You definitely don’t want to miss out on any of our newsletters or emails. If you aren’t getting those from us, check your settings to make sure that you have subscribed to all our updates. Then add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email contacts.
How can I keep track of all the exciting ways to earn extra entries?
Keeping up with all the extra entries is the funnest part of the contest (and guess what? Spellcheck says “funnest” is totally a word!)
